DJ Faze
DJ FAZE is a Drummer, Producer, and your favorite party-rockin’ DJ! A mixmaster phenomenon, DJ FAZE has always been fascinated by all varieties of music. She has played in most of the hottest bars and clubs in Shreveport, LA, while appearing at many favorite city-wide events! In 2022, Faze debuted at the nationally known Dancefestopia festival! DJ Faze aims to spread love, happiness, and fun times through music. Her message to everyone: ANYONE can do ANYTHING, if you put your mind to it.
Lady Q
Laquitta Willis, aka Lady Q Queen of Soul, grew up in Ada Taylor, LA (the Quarters), listening to Blues music her father played on his guitar every Saturday morning in the Quarters. Laquitta was the only child of three siblings who loved his music; it didn’t matter where she was when she heard the sound of his amp she would run home to sing to his music. In those days little LaQuitta would grab a comb or a brush and pretend she was her idol… Tina Turner. As she grew older, the impact of the music never left her heart; she joined two ladies in Minden, LA and formed a singing group called “Estacy“. They connected with a local producer/label NC Records and began to perform in clubs between Monroe and Shreveport, LA. In 1994, the group won 1st place in the 2nd Annual KMJJ Talent Show, which paved the way for them to hit LA and attend the Soul Train Music Awards. Working with several colleagues and later connecting with a band member from the R&B group H-Town, Estacy soon developed a core sound. However, as fate would have it, the group disbanded, and members went their separate ways. A believer in her uniqueness, Lady Q continued to sing at her local church and as an aspiring Plus Size Model, she took the fashion industry by storm with her keen sense of fashion and style. Her passion for singing the Blues was rejuvenated by the King of Trailriding Blues, Jeter Jones, who wrote and produced her first single Lumberjack. Currently signed to Jeter’s Jones Boyz Entertainment… Lady Q’s music is available on all digital platforms.
Pamela Renee
West Philadelphia native Pamela Renee Smith’s passion for music was ignited through Gospel and her zest for singing the Blues. Inspired by her many church families, Pamela Renee’s strides as a champion for live music can be traced back to her position as a material coordinator at Hahnemann Hospital, where she brought music and Black History Month celebrations to the corporate world. She accomplished this through lunchtime music and Black History Month celebrations she produced for the employees and students. Pamela is an independent freelance Blues and R&B singer who believes in honoring those who paved the way. She facilitates Black History Month, Dr. Martin Luther King, Women’s History Month and Unsung Musicians award ceremonies. Pamela’s podcast, The Pamela Renee Smith Daily Show can be heard on Spotify; her skill as a former DJ inspired her to create the Sound of Philadelphia Legends page on Facebook. And, although disabilities have interrupted some of her work, Pamela remains a fierce activist and a strong advocate for universal healthcare. Currently, she is the promoter, producer and facilitator of Pamela Renee Smith Keeping Live Entertainment Live, which features a plethora of Gospel, Jazz, Blues, and R&B singing styles.
Doris Hall-James
Philadelphia native Doris Hall-James has always loved music. From her early years of singing, playing piano and acting to later years where she began managing and promoting local bands and solo artists. A member of the recording group Slick, Doris was the featured vocalist on the song “Sexy Cream” which was banned in the US by the FCC because of its controversial lyrics. The song was placed in the movie “Paris is Burning” and clubs in America made it a hit and opened many doors for the group. Through her association with Slick and Fat Larry’s Band, Doris enhanced her writing and singing skills and published her catalog of over 100 songs with BMI as a songwriter for WMOT Philadelphia.
Doris is currently the owner and CEO of Simply Music Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that specializes in teaching piano, guitar, and music notation. She is the host of The Doris Hall-James Indie Show and Co-Owner of Philly Live Internet Radio (PLR). She holds a Bachelors Degree in Human Services and a Master’s Degree in Science Administration.
